Description

Originally issued as Prestige LP 7079.  Remastered by Steve Hoffman using vacuum-tube equipment.  Ltd. Edition No. 0284

Vinyl is effectively mint, having been played only a few times on high quality equipment.  Sleeve also virtually mint.

In the interest of full disclosure:  The winning bidder of an earlier  auction returned this record as he considered it defective.  He reported that there were "two or three audible scratches".  On the disc's return it was playchecked all the way through and no scratches, tics, pops, whooshes, or other audible anomalies were evident - the surfaces were absolutely quiet.  On close inspection under a strong light no scratches were visible, but on side 2, track 2 there are a couple of small, flat bumps on the vinyl surface, probably due to foreign particle contamination within the vinyl incorporated during the pressing process.  The LP was played again through this area at high volume and, on my system (Dynavector MC cartridge, with subwoofer) there was absolutely no audible evidence of any problem.  Thus I cannot accept that the disc is in any way defective and feel that it thoroughly deserves its M- quality grading.
