Description
Lord Invader, Lord Beginner + Felix and his Internationals: "Calypso." Disc 5007-8-9, three 78 rpm records + folder. All three records are in "E" condition with strong gloss, minimal wear, clean wax and labels. The folder, unfortunately, has damage on the front cover as shown, but the identical slick on the back cover is in very good shape. Cover sketch by David Stone Martin. Spine is completely gone and the front and back covers are barely attached. The inside front cover notes by Fred Ramsey, jr are 98% complete (small tear at lower left) and the lyrics on the inside back cover are 100% complete. Songs: Subway Train, Yankee Dollar in Trinidad, and Tied-Tongue Baby (Invader); Shake Around, Always Marry a Pretty Woman, and Ah, Nora, The War is Over (Beginner.) Late 1940s issue, I believe.
