Description
Being offered is a copy of the 1981 release of the Scar Author! Author on the Prelude label. This example comes with the all important booklet.
I have played the record in its entirety and it has no jumps , scratches, pops etc. The record has hardly been played as is evident from photo 5 which shows the absence of spindle wear. Tilting teh record in the light on the b side track 8 "je t'aime c'est la mort" there is a faint diagonal 2 cm surface scratch and a one cm faint , slightly crooked surface scratch but these are visual imperfections and have no effect on the sound quality.
The booklet has no faults except if you look at photo 7 which shows a close up there is some slightly yellowish staining around the clenched fist area.
The inner sleeve has no tears but has darkened somewhat with age.
The record sleeve has a one cm rubbed tear on the bottom front corner, see photo 9. All the other corners are rubbed. You will also see from photos 8 and 9 that the bottom front corner is quite creased, the left hand bottom corner is also creased to the same extent, see photo 12. There are also a number of small creases extending out from the spine horizontally from the spine. If you look at photo 3 you will see what I mean. They don't show up so much in photo 2 but they are there to the same extent as in photo 3.
There is a bit of rubbing and creasing on the spine however, see photo 11. What looks rubbed areas around the word Scars on the spine is actual part of the printed design, but the rubbing and creasing is quite extensive toward the right hand side such that the printing of PREX 5, whilst visible is quite difficult to read. The top and bottom edge of the sleeve have little wear and it is commensurate with careful storage and sliding on and off the shelf for handling.
