Description

An original Q1 1968 1st press on UK Philips. Matrix 1/1. Labels are consistent with 1968. Please note 1st pressing should NOT have ridging at the edge of the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover [fully laminated] with pinched spine. We also have the original inner sleeve which is date coded to Feb 1968 [0268] - one month prior to 1st release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Ok, so if you're a SCOTT fan you don't need me to tell you how important it is to find a copy that can reveal that lush atmospheric presentation he was so adept at. It's got to be a super clean player - if not it will very quickly start to inhibit the audio experience. I'm pleased to report that this copy is totally clean signalled. Expect the audio to be akin to SCOTT crooning away in the same room right next to you. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) Given the vintage a super preserved '68 copy. Clearly the full lamination is helping - but most copies are still not going to be looking this spritely after this passage of time. Front and rear are very flat with a lovely shine - there's only one thumbnail crease. The rear is equally good - close on perfect. Hardly any edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp. Four nice pointy corners. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retain excellent rigidity. A beaut for sure...
Inner (Vg+) Lightest ageing. No splits.
