Description

An original summer 1967 1st press on UK Philips <STEREO>. Matrix 1/1. Labels are consistent with 1967. Please note 1st pressing should NOT have ridging at the edge of the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover cover [fully laminated] with pinched spine. We also have the original inner sleeve date coded to '67.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out one very superficial trail and a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with a couple of slight deviations on side 2. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Ok, so if you're a SCOTT fan you don't need me to tell you how important it is to find a copy that can reveal that lush atmospheric presentation he was so adept at. It's got to be a super clean player - if not it will very quickly start to inhibit the audio experience. I'm pleased to report that this copy is superb for audio. Very clean signalled throughout. Expect the audio to be akin to SCOTT crooning away in the same room right next to you. Nothing much to take issue with. A couple of minor ticks in 'Small Love', and again in the closing seconds of 'Hear From Me' and [again] early in 'Sleepless Night'. Nothing upfront - I'm just mentioning to be as critical as I can be.  A splendid copy whichever way you look at it<<<<
Cover (Ex) In super condition - many original copies just do not look quite this smart. Lovely clean and unaged flat surfaces. At worst a couple of minor thumbnails. Hardly any edge wear and firm sharp openings. The spine is 100% perfect - extremely impressive. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Has avoided most of the ageing process. Bag present. No splits.
