Description

Sonic Technology Corp. stereo STC 200, disc pressed in the US.  Introduction of the "Direct Pressed Disc" process, which eliminates two steps in the mastering process by pressing the discs directly from the metal master.  See pics for details. 

Copland, Fanfare for the Common Man, Rodeo, and the Ballet Suite from Billy the Kid, with Donald Johanos and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.  For whatever reason, Johanos is not credited, but these are the performances that were originally released on Turnabout Records TV 34169, which is highly regarded for its great sound.  See pics for program details.
