Up for auction is a set of 4 "The Adventures of The Lone Ranger" 78 rpm records with their sleeves. The set includes No. 1 "He Becomes The Lone Ranger", No. 2 "He Finds Silver", No. 3 "He Finds Dan Reid", and No. 4 "He Helps The Colonel's Son". All are dated "Copyright 1951, Decca Records, Inc.". Most of the records are in Excellent condition with almost no wear. Only No. 2 "He Finds Silver" has a small scratch on side 2 at the very beginning. It shouldn't affect the play of the record.  These 78's are made of "Deccalite" which are more like a vinyl than the regular 78's made of slate.  They seem to weigh less than a normal 78.   The sleeves do have some minor wear. No. 1 has a 3/4ths of an inch seam split on the left side and a 1/2 inch tear on the back flap. No. 2 has 3/4ths of an inch seam split at the bottom and a small tear near the bottom on the back side. No. 3 has only minor edge wear. No. 4 has a small 1/2 inch tear on the left front side. On the back there is a small piece gone from the flap, a 3/4ths of an inch tear near the top of the flap, and a repaired corner on the flap from a tear. All of these are very minor issues, but stated for complete accuracy. Overall these are in really nice shape and would be great for display in any western collection.
