This auction is for one original concert brochure The Dave Brubeck
Quartet - signed in ink on front. Booklet measures 8.5 by 11 inches and consists of 8
pages of photographs if you include front and rear cover. I believe this
was from late 1954 or early 1955. Brubeck signed it (with fountain pen -
India Ink) at that time after a concert - in Detroit? Classic black and
white photographs show each member - Paul Desmond, Joe Dodge and Bob
Bates. Rear cover has photo credit John Brook Boston and that last image
was used for the cover of Jazz At Storyville Brubeck Desmond Fantasy
3240. The front cover multiple exposure of the group is maybe one of the
most classic shots of them. Booklet has crease at center - signs of
handling and some light foxing top margin rear cover. Brochure has never
been offered for sale and has been in same family since signed by
Brubeck in the mid 1950s.
