Description
Constantin Silvestri/ Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
Dvorak - Symphony No. 2 in D minor
(HMV ASD 396 UK LP 1961)
This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large sized "Stereo" on the front. It has its original polythene-lined company "Emitex" inner sleeve.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has white & gold HMV labels. These are grooved also. It has 1st press 2YVH 19-2 and 2YVH 20-2 matrix stampers.
Sleeve: There is some moderate fading on the rear sleeve. The number "7" has been written on the rear sleeve too. There is some more moderate rubbing wear to the bottom corner tip, at the sleeve opening. There are 3 other small bits of rubbing wear to the bottom edge too. There is some light to mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening. VG condition
Vinyl: There are some light to very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. The polythene inner sleeve has left some light to mild marks on the vinyl in two separate places on Side 2, & in one place on Side 1. VG condition. The labels are in excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Near EX condition. There is some light to very mild fading, ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. Side 1 plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in many places. There is some light or very mild crackle in a few of quieter places. Side 2 plays VG to VG+ overall & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
