Description

An original 1st press of Bookends for the UK market... Heavy-set vinyl. Matrix A4/B1.The vinyl comes housed in an early original front laminated Upton cover. Lovely quality solid copy not like the countless flimsy later ones! Original mid sixties inner.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition and has only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Importantly it's playing clean even into the quieter. It really makes a change to hear this sixties classic in such fine fettle. Few copies will play consistently like this. A few minor crackles in one brief spot per side. Overall.. superb!
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and that aesthetic on the front is well preserved without fading or creasing. Ditto the rear and had managed to avoid much of the ageing process tpl. Minimal edge wear - sharp openings. The spine is 95% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (vg+) Aged a bit. bag present. No splits.
