Simon & Garfunkel Bookends VINYL LP - Ultra Rare MONO UK first issue 1968.
One of the very first LPS I ever bought and has been well loved and well played ever since.
Grading is always subjective especially on a disk more than 50 YEARS OLD but I will give as accurate a description as I can. Disk is bright and shiny and has light surface scratches and marks across both sides. When playing there is no skipping or jumping and music still sounds good but is starting to show its age. There is crackling and clicks across all the tracks on both sides due to age and wear particularly noticeable on quiet parts and lead ins. Using the GOLDMINE STANDARD I have graded the record overall as GOOD*
* Goldmine definition Good A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
Laminated Cover has a few creases mainly on edges but main central area is excellent would grade VERY GOOD. Unlaminated Rear Sleeve has slight discoloring but again is VERY GOOD (see pics)

Extremely hard to find in this format, this true copy is a UK 1968 1st *MONO* pressing on the textured orange & black CBS label: 63101
MONO PRESSING - Both Original Mono and Stereo albums were issued in the same sleeves and had same labels . The important differential factor is the matrix runouts Mono were BPG 63101 Stereo were SBPG 63101
