Description
This auction is for the very limited, hard to find, original fourth Simon And Garfunkel album titled "Bookends" pressed in MONO and released by Columbia Records (KCL 2729) in the USA in 1968 featuring America, Save The Life Of My Child, Old Friends, Fakin' It, Mrs Robinson, A Hazy Shade Of Winter, and At The Zoo. The record is VG+ to VG++, with "MONO" printed in white at bottom of mint 2-eye Columbia record labels, contained in a mint plain white (not original) inner sleeve. The single sleeve record jacket is VG++ due to bottom corner dings/crinkles, and contains a mint huge still folded 22x32 inch poster of Paul and Art. The record jacket has no holes, cuts, splits, rings, tears, water stains or water damage of any kind, writing of any kind, tape or tape marks, and no bar code. The most successful folk-rock duo of the 1960s, Simon and Garfunkel developed a series of memorable hit albums and singles featuring their choirboy harmonies, ringing acoustic and electric guitars, and Simon's acute, finely wrought songwriting. The pair always stayed at the more polished end of the folk-rock spectrum. The best of S&G's work can stand among Simon's best material, and the duo progressed musically over the course of their five albums, moving from basic folk-rock productions into Latin rhythms and gospel-influenced arrangements that foreshadowed Simon's eclecticism on his solo albums. Seller charges actual USPS postage + 2 dollars for packing materials/handling per single shipment - a single shipment can contain combined auctions wins. Seller goes to post office after auction is over to get actual postage amount - USPS first class international airmail (amount depends on package weight and destination location) or USA priority mail (amount depends on package weight and destination location) or USA media mail (amount varies by weight but eBay has limited this amount to 4 USA dollars per auction win), and an insurance amount if requested by auction winner. Paypal is the acceptable form of payment. The handling time is usually 3 business days but could be as much as 5 business days due to my regular employment. There is no specific return policy.
