"Wednesday Morning, 3 AM"  (1964)  White label promo

The very rare promotional pressing of Simon and Garfunkel's first LP.  This 1st pressing copy was made for distribution to reviewers and radio stations and is even more rare than standard mono 1st pressings (which have "Guaranteed High Fidelity" at the bottom of their labels).  Has the original timing strip at the bottom of the front cover.  This copy has matrix numbers that end in -1B for both sides.

Cover  VG

There is a 3 inch seam split at the middle of the top seam and there is a name in pen on the timing strip and again on the back cover.  There is a also a small area of paper loss on the "D" in "Wednesday Morning, 3 AM" on the back cover.  The timing strip is intact, but it looks like the previous owner tried to peel it back at the top of each side at one point in time.  Other than these faults, the cover is in very presentable shape with only a little general wear.

Vinyl   EX (for Side 1) / VG (for Side 2)

Both sides look very shiny and glossy.  A few light marks, more on Side 2 than Side 1.  Side 2 also has two scratches on tracks 1 and 2.  I played through that whole side of the record and there are some sporadic clicks here and there.  The only recurring clicks I heard were during the last minute of Peggy-O (track 2).  I also noticed some distortion on some of the louder passages, mostly toward the end of the side.  I don't see any visible signs of groove damage, which leads me to believe it may be a pressing flaw.  Comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

Domestic Postage - $4 for Media Mail (with delivery confirmation) for LPs, $1 for each additional LP.  $3 for 1st class (with delivery confirmation) for 45s, $.50 for each additional 45 (or to ship each 45 with an LP).  Insurance and Priority Mail shipping are available by request.

International Postage - Varies by location.  Insurance and Priority Mail shipping are available by request.  Multiple purchases will be shipped together at cost.  I pack well, so I cannot be held responsible if the postal service damages an uninsured item.  Due to some bad experiences last year, I can only ship to Italy or Russia using Registered Mail.  If you are from one of these countries and need a shipping quote, please email me before bidding.

ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS - Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.  Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Grading

All grading is done visually.  If you need me to play-test a specific track, please email me.  I try to grade conservatively in the hopes that what you receive will meet (or hopefully exceed) your expectations.  I use the following grades:

NM, EX, VG, G.  A + (plus) after the grade signifies slightly better condition than the grade and a - (minus) signifies slightly worse condition than the grade.  I try to include a more detailed description after the grades, so please be sure to read that section carefully to get a better idea of the condition of the item.


Returns

I try to be very thorough in my descriptions, but if you find a record to not be as described, I will accept returns up to 7 days after delivery.  Please contact me first and let me know the reason for the return.  Refunds given only on the cost of the item, not on shipping charges.
