Leonard Cohen's stunning debut on 1st US press vinyl.   This is the '2-eye' Columbia label and has 1A/1A stampers, indicating earliest pressing.  Vinyl is a strong VG+ and looks great overall with just a few hairlines that prevent higher grading.  No spindle marks or evidence of mishandling or excessive playing.   A nice copy overall.  The thick cardboard cover has tight seams, no splits.   Front does have evidence of shelf wear and ring wear (see pics) which shows up more on the stark black front.  Back looks nice, as the wear is not as evident with the beautiful colorful artwork.  Includes EX condition original lyric sheet.

All used records cleaned prior to shipment on my new Degritter 2 ULTRASONIC record cleaning machine.  Will be shipped with archival inner sleeve to protect original printed inner, with record placed outside of the jacket to avoid seam splits and everything is contained and protected in an outer plastic sleeve.  Comes from smoke-free, climate controlled home.  Shipped securely in premium record mailer (Mighty Music Mailers) with corner protection to ensure safe arrival to your home.

Jacket sealed in shrink wrap; Record unplayed.  Disc sold ungraded or "as is".

NM

Under bright light, appears unplayed or only played with great care and looks quite pristine/like new.   Only the very finest examples make this grade.

EX

Under bright light, may have one or two slight, but visible imperfections (i.e. sleeve scuffs, faint ‘hairline’ scratches, or other superficial marks) that will not affect play.  Overall, very clean.   May play as good as a Near Mint record, but visibly has minor imperfections.

VG+

Several visible imperfections. Has seen more wear and play than the higher grades, but still overall a very nice record. May have a few more sleeve scuffs or light unfeel-able scratches, or other superficial marks than an EX-graded record.

VG

VG will show signs of improper care or frequent play and handling, and will possibly have some deeper, feel-able scratch(es) that may make audible noise upon playback.  Generally meant to be either a starter copy or purchased to get a sense of sound quality of a particular pressing.
