Description
Original Sonny Boy Williamson – Down & Out Blues 7" jukebox EP, complete with the factory‑sealed Star Title Strip Co. strip pack. This is the true jukebox issue, not a later reprint. The strips, artist photos, album header, and Seeburg coding are all still sealed in the original plastic, exactly as they left the distributor.
The address on the strip pack reads “Pittsburgh 33, PA,” which places this piece squarely in the pre‑ZIP code era (1943–1963). That detail alone tells you you’re looking at authentic mid‑century jukebox stock from the right period of Checker/Chess distribution. Almost all of these were opened, used, or tossed by operators. A sealed example simply doesn’t surface.
Condition is what collectors hope for: clean, crisp, and untouched. No writing, no tears, no smoke, no surprises. The seal is intact and the pack presents beautifully. Will be carefully packed and fully insured.
