Description
OK collectors here is one for the ages a VG+ condition copy of Sonny Rollins' Newk's Time Blue Note 4001, the first release under the vaunted 4000 series for Blue Note to signify the beginning of the hard bop era. All one has to do here is to listen to Surrey With The Fringe on Top with Philly Joe Jones becoming a one man rhythm section with this duet with Sonny. Wynton Kelly and Doug Watkins the remainder of the band. The record has a few light surface marks due to age (1957 pressing) and the cover is VG condition. The cover and the label of the record has a handwritten name and a number from the previous owner on it. The tune names are above and this one is for the true collector. Please do not make me regret not using a reserve to encourage strong bidding. There is a trace of surface noise toward the beginning of Side 2 which then goes away. Hard to find original pressing. RVG stamped in the dead wax, "ear" in the dead wax. 47 West 63rd St. New York 23 the address on the back of the cover. T-9558 stamped on the cover and on the record label. Any serious collector will love this record. PayPal preferred and overseas bids welcome. Payment due within three days of auction end.
