Condition Detail:
The sleeve is in solid shape. The edges are very scuffed and there is splitting present along the spine as well as near the opening of the sleeve. There are some creases along the edges. The cover looks very clean all things considered. Most defects are structural more than visual and a majority of the cover looks very good. There are some indents in a few spots. The rear looks good swell but there is consistent discoloration from where the sleeve rubbed against other sleeves throughout its life. All text is still legible and easy to read.
The vinyl is in good shape. There are scratches and scuffs on both sides, most are light but there are a few deeper that caused audible pops.
Throughout a play test there is a light surface noise, most noticeable during quiet sections and the dead wax. The record sounds fantastic and full of life even with the light surface noise. As mentioned before there are occasional pops, but these are few and far between. Overall the record plays back as a Vg+ and looks borderline
Vg+ leaning Vg.
Purchased at estate sale. Record cleaned with VPI HW27 Typhoon before grading, sleeved with archival liner and shipped using Bags Unlimited Mighty Mailers.
Played with a AT12S Shibata with NAD pre into an Aragon 8008 with PSB Stratus Goldi speakers. A detailed and visceral testing system.
We generally undergrade our records due to how detailed the stylus is. Small noise on our system will probably not replicate on a conical
or elliptical stylus.
