Label: DE-LITE ~ DE-2003. Stereo pressing.

Condition:
DISC: Disc is NM- with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are a couple very slight, small, faint hairline scuffs that do not sound, but no serious or audible marks or distractions. Plays beautifully with awesome fidelity. Labels are pristine with no spindle trail marks. An outstanding copy of this essential and increasingly hard-to-find LP.
JACKET: Jacket is EXCELLENT in original factory shrink wrap. There is a small jigsaw cut at bottom left corner. Shrink wrap has a small to moderate separations, the largest being on the front at bottom right corner (approximately 9 inches). Flawless front and back panels. No writing, stickers, or other issues. A beautiful jacket worthy of display.

“Kool & the Gang's funky debut was an unexpected hit, with a first single (self-titled) climbing both the pop and R&B charts. Subsequent singles -- "The Gang's Back Again," "Let the Music Take Your Mind," and "Funky Man," -- followed the first into the charts, and there were plenty of other standout tracks: "Raw Hamburger," "Chocolate Buttermilk," and "Kool's Back Again." Though barely over a half an hour long, Kool and the Gang is a blast of a record containing strong elements that would become the band's trademarks: smooth melodies, suave rhythms, and brassy horns. This is one of Kool & the Gang's jazzier albums and a strong debut worth checking out, though less accessible than any of their later pop recordings.”
