Happiness Melody Is The LOUD Mary Marsha By The J. B. Betts Family Jerry Melinda YES! HAPPINESS IS THE LORD — to the J. B. Betts Family! This family of singers has a background of years of experience in singing the great hymns and gospel songs. They are the happiest when they are sing- ing to the glory of the Lord. Their singing has taken them into churches throughout Mississippi and into Alabama and Arkansas and they have been loved everywhere they have gone. J. B. has served churches in Mississippi and Alabama as Minister of Music arid had the opportunity to start his children in choirs at very early ages. All of them have been regular choir members wherever they have lived. Since June, 1966, when J. B. entered the field of Church Music Evangelism, the fam- ily has had many opportunities to sing in re- vivals and give gospel concerts. In the sum- mer of 1971 the Betts Family traveled to Montana to work in Vacation Bible Schools and a revival. They gave numerous gospel concerts in churches in Montana and Wyo- ming. Every time they sang some one of the family gave their personal testimony and an invitation was extended for people to accept Christ. Many decisions were reg- istered during the six weeks trip. It is inspiring to see them and to hear the blending of voices. Little Melody joins her mother and Marsha and Mary on the so- prano while Melinda takes the alto. Jerry comes through on the bass and dad com- pletes the harmony with the tenor. Not only do they harmonize and blend, but any one of them might come out on a solo part.
