Description

This is part of a big auction of mainly Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a nice selection of rare bonus listings.

Release: Edgar Blanchard & His Band - Mr. Bumps / Ricki-Ticki-Too

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1956


Notes: White & yellow label first pressing. The first of just a two singles released by this group in the 1950's on consecutively numbered releases.  Blanchard was quite active in New Orleans during the time, but mostly played on other people's records. Two great R&B instrumentals here.  Mainly guitar based, but nice piano and organ work as well.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice with original gloss & no tearing/stickers. This is a nice copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, Original outer sleeve has some wrinkles/light fading and a small pencil number on the back, but no tears or splits. Decent shape overall.
