Description

This is part of a big auction of mainly Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a nice selection of rare bonus listings.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1959


Notes: White label promo first pressing. Two great tracks from his 3rd album for Specialty. One of LR's best known, tracks, Kansas City was actually first released by Little Willie Littlefield in 1952 and would later be covered by the Beatles. Labels have "SMASH" stamps on the A-side to indicate what side to promote.


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice with original gloss, with no tearing/stickers. This is a very nice copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: G+, original company sleeve has a clean split down the left side and some wrinkling to the bottom right. True grade is probably G+, but it displays better than that.
