Description
This is part of a big auction of mainly Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a nice selection of rare bonus listings.

Release: Sam Cooke - Happy in Love / I Need You Now
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1959
Notes: White label promo first pressing. Early single by Cooke. Not the rarest record but a darn cool one. Both tracks were written by Cooke's younger brother LC. Both of these are also lesser known, but the B-side I Need You Now is an especially interesting track featuring Sam alone with an acoustic guitar or maybe a ukulele. It has an almost Caribbean feel to it.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with hardly any wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all. Labels are nice with original gloss & no tearing/stickers. This is a nice copy overall.
Sleeve Condition: VG, Original outer sleeve has some light wrinkles and a small pencil number on the back, but no tears or splits. Nice shape overall. VG to VG+.
