Description

Original blue label with silver text, deep groove.  Side A features Wardell Gray with a group led by Al Haig, piano with Jimmy Raney, guitar; Gene Ramey, bass; Charlie Perry, drums; Carlos Vidal, conga.  Vocalist Terry Swope scat vocals on 2 tracks.  Side B features Stan Getz with the same Quintet as list above. No vocals. These are from 2 separate sessions.  Very rare.

Cover:  VG   Intact and clean. Some edge wear.  Aging on the back cover.  2 small scratch marks at the bottom of the front cover and a tiny mark near the top insert edge corner.  Slight cover wear with a faint impression of a record ring.

Record:  VG+  Visually shows no wear.  2 short, very light, surface rub marks.  There are several clicks and a few crackles on all tracks with intervals of groove noise. The noise is somewhat more audible on Tracks 3 and 4 on Side B. Some clicks repete for a few revolutions.  For most of the record, the noise can be described is light but audible. This is an early 10" L.P. pressing and the noise is typical of the early pressing.  The noise is not a result of wear or care. The surface appearance is very clean but I have graded according to the sound quality. Audibly checked.
