Description
For sale here is a UK variant vinyl LP copy of Fields of Gold: The Best of Sting 1984-1994, released by A&M Records in 1994. This was one of hundreds of vinyls in my father's collection, he purchased it back in the 90s but at which point didn't have a record player set up any more, so it has simply sat in storage since then.
Open to (sensible) offers, feel free to get in touch if you need more photos or anything.
Condition Please note that I don't know anything about vinyl grading or what affects playback or anything, so I can only describe the condition as a total amateur.
Outer sleeve - The outside has a few very minor blemishes and marks, and some extremely light wear to the edges, but otherwise I think it looks in fantastic condition externally. The inside unfortunately has noticeable foxing near the opening on both sides, but it doesn't seem to extend in more than a few cm.
Paper insert - There are a few light foxing spots sparsely dotted across it, unfortunately I couldn't really get them to show in the photos as they blend in with the colour.
Vinyl records - I cannot see any signs of wear, damage, scratches or scuff marks aside from a tiny piece of one of the inner ring stickers missing (possibly from manufacture?). They probably want a proper clean as there was a lot of dust on them and they feel quite staticy, I've done my best to gently wipe them over with an anti-static cloth but didn't want to go any further than that.
My father said he never played the records as the record player had been packed away by the time he bought it, however we don't know if it was originally purchased new or used. Frankly to my untrained eye, if they were CDs I would say they look mint and unused, but I can't make any guarantees hence why they are being sold as used.
Paper record sleeves - There is noticeable foxing to these, one of them has more than the other.
