Description
This is a near mint condition Stranglers "Peaches" 45. It was issued by United Artists Records U.K. in 1977. This record comes in a very rare picture sleeve that was withdrawn from distribution just as this single was released. The band did not approve the sleeve and United Artists Records removed it and had most copies destroyed. Very few survived. This sleeve and 45 came from an ex-employee of United Artists Records who worked at the label in 1977. The sleeve has no split seams, rips or pen marks. There is a very small amount of ring wear, but this does not take away from the over all appearance of the sleeve. This single has "Peaches" on one side and "Go Buddy Go" on the other side. Both sides are listed as side "A". The label is a white custom United Artists Records. There are no stickers or writing on the labels. It was found in the collection of a former record company executive who has had it filed away since the '70s.
