Description
This is a modern classical recording, "The Firebird Ballet in Two Scenes", first released in 1960 on the Mercury Living Presence Label. The site of the recording was the Watford Town Hall. Three omni-directional microphones were used to catch the full bloom of the orchestral sound as well as the natural resonance of the auditorium. Mercury's famous mobile sound truck was brought to England just for this recording. Composed by Igor Stravinsky, Conducted by Antal Dorati, Recording Produced by Wilma Cozart Fine, This has incredible orchestral Fireworks and a second scene CLACK!! that scared the hell out of me, I jumped a foot off the couch. This is on Harry Pearson's TAS List of Super Discs, a sonic masterpiece. Remastered by Bernie Grundman, pressed at RTI on 180gm. vinyl. This was cleaned on my VPI record cleaner, played once. stored in a glass case in my listening room, smoke free house my dogs are not allowed in this room. Thank you for your interest, Arthur
