Description

The Princeton Triangle Jazz Band -- disguised as the Equinox Orchestra -- plays "Strong Talk," based on the chords of "Farewell Blues," on privately-pressed Royal 32D5/6.   It's one of their best recordings -- a hot arrangment and solos galore, including the Bix-inspired cornetist Bill Priestley.  On the flip side, the band drops the disguise and plays "No More," a pleasant tune from the Princeton Triangle Club's show "Spanish Blades." There is a guitar obligato the awful vocal.  The band tries to heat things up for a few bars, but more vocalists snuff out the sparks.  Recorded in New York in 1932.
This record is in E- condition generally, with a few handling marks.  It was poorly recorded, with some distortion in the louder passages, and pressed on noisy shellac, and even a mint copy exhibits these flaws.   You'll enjoy the music in spite of them.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing.  I know how to pack records.
