ROUGF or Reek of Unzen Gas Fumes is a prolific and original Japanese project that examines the thought process and systems of WWII era Japan during the blitzkrieg of the 1940s-1950s. The sounds are ugly, hateful, and obscurely strange, just like Japan seemed to the rest of the world at the time.
