For sale is Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, The Original Cast Recording, originally released in 1978 by RCA Red Seal Records as a double album set with a gate-fold presentation and a 24 page libretto. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched an upper case "I", indicating that this record was made at RCA Records' pressing plant located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a hallmark of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this album set used, professionally cleaned the records on my VPI HW-17 machine and put them into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeves are graded as Near Mint. The cover is graded as Excellent because of a stress crack along the spine and two corner blunts. The spine has some color loss at the corner from the blunt. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. It looks like it just left the record store. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
