Description
Jim Holstein and Bob Pauole were a musical duo known as Jim and Bob, the Genial Hawaiians. They performed on the radio in Chicago and made a handful of impressive recordings that were released in the 1930's. Bob Pauole was an exceptional steel player with great tone and phrasing. Their recordings exhibit a nice interplay between the two musicians. Unfortunately very little is known about Jim and Bob. No one even knows for sure what became of them after the mid-1930's.
All the Genial Hawaiians releases come from one recording session. It was in Chicago on December 12, 1933. From that session twelve sides were released on the Bluebird record label.
Sweet Georgia Brown has some exceptional "uke" work.
All 78 rpm discs offered by me on eBay come from a 1930's/40's radio station library. All have been cleaned and checked for audio quality. Most are at least VG.

Media Mail charges are based on shipping weight and generally start at $2.96 for the first disc.
To protect the 78’s in shipping I am now using a 13 x 13 mailer made from sturdy 200# test brown corrugated. Each mailer comes with 3 pads 12-3/4 x 12-3/4. The center pad is die cut to hold the record secure when shipping. I add a $2.00 charge per container. Insurance charges are also added based on the final auction price.
