Stunning example of this super rare first press !! Probably barely played! This 1st issue is complete with its original inner sleeve and is rarer still for its "factory sample not for sale" sticker.  This album was part of a collection which was kept in poly outer sleeves and stored under optimal conditions (no humidity or dust, room temperature).

Marc Bolan and T. Rex follow their historic LPs Electric Warrior and The Slider with this very underrated gem. Tanx is loaded with great songs. "Rapids", "Mister Mister", "Country Honey", "Electric Slim And The Factory Hen", "Born To Boogie", "Life Is Strange" and "The Street & Babe Shadow" are up there with T. Rex's finest moments. Tanx is a critical release by T. Rex filled with great mystical and glam rock.

Tanx is the last of the real fame time albums by T. Rex. It sounds more or less similar to Electric Warrior and The Slider, but in my opinion, it is better. It contains a great number of really good songs – namely "Tenement Lady", "Mister Mister", "Broken Hearted Blues", "Shock Rock", "Electric Slim and the Factory Hen" and "Highway Knees."

What is this album (and most of the rest I have heard from T. Rex) about? Glamorous rock 'n' roll? Er, no. There is some pure rock on Tanx, but less than singles like "Children of the Revolution" and "20th Century Boy" might make you expect, and naturally you can't hear the glamour. To me, the essence of albums like Tanx is the relatively sophisticated, sometimes slightly psychedelic and sometimes folk-ish pop-rock. Listen to White Album, Barabajagal, Hunky Dory and then this. Where is the giant leap? (reviews from allmusic.com)

Vinyl: EX/EX+.  I'm very happy to be able to present this  gem by the legendary T REX  in this wonderful condition. The vinyl has not any marks , not any hairlines and remarkably only few retraction traces. The audio is simply sublime played on my Technics deck with Linn Sondek cartridge and through my Rotel amp and B&W speakers.

I played this through in full and thoroughly enjoyed it, indeed my most intensive listen for this week. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again as a factory sample, it is indeed mega rare now in this kind of condition. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks or anything untoward. This is one of the  best copies in existence.

Sleeve:  EX.  Fantastic looked after matt single sleeve with beautiful rich colours and without any creasing, save from the usual miniscule corner "bumps".  It sits superbly flat and has a sharp crisp opening. Beautiful sharp edges, the spine is fully legible. The spine is also completely square as if just bought over the counter. One bit of shading to the front where once a catalogue sticker was attached. A beautiful original sleeve and a fantastic  condition and any storage wear is only ultra light. The winner will be very pleased indeed!!  No marks, no seam splits or tears.  This is an upgrade for most psych and prog collectors and probably the very best copy in existence. As such this is surely an investment grade copy!! The lettering is not only seen on the spine but also on the top edge.

The inner sleeve is the original green one with a small bottom split but otherwise totally excellent with a sharp opening.

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!  PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST,  if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees  and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again!!

This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
