Description
This is an opportunity to get your hands on one of the best albums ever released on the Decca label, T2 Prog-Rock band were by far ahead of there time, only one album with this line up but what an album. It was released in 1970 on Decca SKL 5050.The band consisted of three brilliant musicians:- on Lead Guitar , Keith Cross , Drums & Lead Vocals Peter Dunton , Bass Bernard Jinks.
T2 were a British progressive rock band, best known for their 1970 album It'll All Work Out in Boomland. It is regarded as an excellent album by the progressive rock community[1].
T2 evolved from an earlier band called Neon Pearl which had been led by drummer Pete Dunton. Dunton was by 1968 a member of Please which also included fellow Neon Pearl member Bernard Jinks. When that band broke up in 1969, due to Dunton's joining Gun alongside Adrian Gurvitz, Jinks became a member of Bulldog Breed.
T2 then formed when Dunton reunited with bassist Jinks and late period Bulldog Breed guitarist Keith Cross. The trio played a form of pyschedelic or proto-prog rock which was similar in content to that played by the earlier bands its members had been in but placed far greater emphasis on the incendiary guitar playing of the teenage Keith Cross giving them some similarity in sound to power trios such as Cream.
Cutting their since neglected and engigmatically titled It'll All Work Out In Boomland the trio played a series of successful dates and returned to the studio to begin work on their follow up. In 1972, while recording material for their second album, T2 disbanded due to internal conflict. The breakup caused the unfinished album to be shelved until the early 90s when redistribution of "It'll All Work Out In Boomland" sparked a brief T2 reunion, although without their guitar prodigy, Keith Cross.
The band now consisting of Dunton, Jinks and Moore, T2 released "Second Bite" (1992), "Waiting For The Band" (1993) and "On The Frontline" (1994). By the time "Waiting For The Band" was released, Jinks had left the group and Moore had shifted to bass to accommodate their new guitarist Ray Lee. The reformation of T2 did provide the chance for the band to complete the unfinished tracks from their original follow up to "It'll All Work Out In Boomland." Released in 1997 and titled "Fantasy" (it's also known simply as "T2"), this album is a companion to "It'll All Work Out In Boomland", and is notable as most of the songs were written by the original line-up[
The copy I am offering on Auction is in VG Condition considering it is 39 years old, it has some slight surface marks but in no way does it affect the playing of the record, there are no jumps, and the record is completly flat not warped,the Vinyl still has a very glossy finish to it not a dull finish which you would normally see on an old record, the cover is also in VG Condition it is not ripped,the laminate is not lifting, the only sign of wear is a couple of minor creases and from the pressure of the LP inside the sleeve, which are on the rear ( see the pictures) It also is in a Decca lined sealed inner sleeve which apparently was rare most were in just a white bag.
It is a very rare album as an original,it comes up for auction occassionally but usually gets snapped up. Don't miss your chance to own it.
