Description
You are bidding on Orchestal Space, organized by Toru Takemitsu and Toshi Ichiyanagi, and conducted by Seiji Ozawa and Hiroshi Wakasugi. Features Toru Takemitsu, Yuji Takahashi, Toshi Ichiyanagi, and Joji Yuasa, and the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra.
Jacket has very light shelf wear, otherwise looks great. The record is clean, flat, and glossy.
The back cover reads: This is the precious recording of Japan's most exciting modern music festival named "Orchestal Space '66", which took place at Nissei Theater, the center of Japan's modern theatricals, on May 1st, 2nd, and 4th, 1966.
Toru Takemitsu's compisitions are characterized by thoroughly examined unique sound effect by specific combination of various instruments. It is not too much to say that his scores are sounds rather than notes.
An unusual addition to your collection.
GRADING: Grading is visual only unless otherwise stated. I use Goldmine standards, with a modification, and tend to be critical. Standards are as follows:
Near Mint (NM or M-) a nearly perfect record. No obvious signs, of wear. Only signs of slight handling.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) Better than Very Good Plus, but not quite Near Mint.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Some signs of wear, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect play. Label may have some ring wear, discoloration but barely noticeable. Cover may show slight wear such as lightly turned up corners & slight seam split. LP cover may have slight signs of wear.
Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Groove wear will start to be noticeable. Labels may have writing, tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of sleeves or LP cover.
Good(G), Good Plus (G+) Record will play without skipping, but will have surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear. Cover will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear will be evident.
