Description
More inward and thoughtful than their first album, this is a little neglected great album by one of the greatest New York bands ever.
When you went to see them, you first noticed how huge Tom Verlaine's hands were, and how easy it was for him to play whatever he wanted. Then you noticed that all the solos were different from how they were played on the record, and that he was really as freestyle as a jazz person. The beautiful texture was everything.
This is a nice copy to have, as it's a 1978 original mastering with red vinyl to match the red sleeve and red inner sleeve. It's very much a first pressing ("ALLEN" matrix) because it has the misprint on the red lyric insert, incorrectly attributing "Carried Away" to Side 2.
Red labels (of course) and free postage and insurance because if you like this music then I like you.
