ONE OF the best TYA albums following on from the early blues obsessed work, incorporating some more contemporary, for the time, influences from hard rock to prog. Essentially however, its still the same TYA but digging deeper into a straight ahead rock sound ala Rory Gallagher or Trapeze. The songs are really great with Alvin holding off the guitar assault in an attempt to get a bit more meaning across with his lyrics and melodies. That's not to say that its not a rocker. Indeed, you could argue that this album is his most accomplished guitar led work since the very early records, but its delivered with a more considered style whilst rellying on his band mates for stronger support. Tracks like 'One Of These Days' and 'Here They Come' showcase some great dynamics in this area whilst 'Let The Sky Fall' and 'Hard Monkeys' paint an expansive desire to reach across musical divides. 70s blue label.
