(Stiff Records BUY BUY 13 UK 7" 1977)

 

This is an original 1977 UK 7" Single pressing. It has a top opening matte Picture Sleeve which is printed on card. There is a flipback at both side edges of the rear sleeve. "Delga Press Limited" is printed on the left flipback. The rear of the sleeve mistakenly credits the track as "One Chord Wonder". There is also a die-cut area on the rear sleeve at the top opening.

The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black & white solid paper "Stiff Records" labels. The A-side has the "Produced by Larry Wallace for First Shot Productions" text. The B-side has the "Produced by Larry Wallace for Last Shot Productions" text. The A-side has a track time of (1.99). The B-side has a track time of (2 hours forty-nine seconds).  The labels also have the "BUY BUY 13" catalogue number text. There is no "Made In England" text under the band name on the labels. There is a serrated outer rim around the labels. The record has 1st press A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. "A BILBO BOPPA" and "D.B.- MASTER ROOM" are machine etched in the play-out dead wax on the A-& B side respectively.

A genuine 1977 UK 7" pressing of this classic 1977 UK Punk single. These are not that common. I have some other rare & collectable 1970's, early 1980's Punk, New Wave and Post-Punk UK Original 7" Singles & LP's for sale. So please see my other items.

Sleeve: There is a mild 6 cm crease at the bottom left corner tip area. This goes through the sleeve to a varying degree. There is a much lighter 4.5 cm crease in the top left corner tip area. This also goes through the sleeve to a varying degree. This is not that noticeable overall. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good+ condition.

Vinyl: This single was kept in an outer clear PVC sleeve for some time. This, over time, has reacted with the vinyl. There are some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can only be seen under a strong light. They do not affect playback in any way. There is a mild 4 cm surface rub mark on the A-side. It is almost "L" shaped. It is a bit thicker than a hairline mark. Otherwise, there is light, mild or very mild surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good++ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear only.

I have play tested this single in its entirety & it plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall, & Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle noticeable in some quieter places. There are no clicks or pops. Overall, a very decent audio copy.

I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original picture sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.

  >>  Grading Information All grading is very strict & adheres to 'Record Collector' specifications. However, I have fine tuned them & they are explained below. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light & play tested.

MINT Condition = A perfect copy! Almost impossible to find like this. 

NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, There may be a very few, very light paper surface sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve is virtually perfect - there is very minimal wear only.

EXCELLENT Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows minimal defects. There will be light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs. There will be no scratches. The cover will be very nice & clean with maybe minimal creasing, ringwear or edge rubbing wear etc...

NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times, but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only. The sleeve may have light, mild or very mild creasing,ringwear & very mild rubbing wear to the edges etc.... Overall, it will be a very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.

Very Good Condition = A well played but very decent overall copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears etc... The record will not be trashed!!

Please note that I also use "+" or "-" symbols for this grading. A plus symbol is obviously at the top end of "Very Good" & is really not far from being in "near excellent" condition. The minus symbol obviously means it is at the lower end. This will mean that it is near to being in "Good+" condition.

Royal Mail have very recently increased their postage rates. So I have revised my postage costs to reflect their increases. (Please note that these prices include packaging costs too) 
Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs. One parcel must not exceed 2kg (approximately 4-6 LPS).

All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7" Single. I use a cruciform box for larger orders (3-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.

I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).

I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
