Description
This is a copy of the 1969 UK “The Beatles' Second Album†LP, (Parlophone CPCS 103). This is totally rare EXPORT issue with the black/silver labels!! Pressed in the UK in 1969 to supply other (European, mainly Scandinavian) countries, this edition is VERY rare. This particular copy is in very nice condition -plays LOUD and without jumps or sticks- and has the original cover with the flipbacks on the rear. Here's a rundown of the disc:
Disc:
Side One: Vinyl = VG+++ (various superficial scuffs). Label = EX. Some not-too-bad spindle wear, matrix in dead wax: YEEX 110-A9, R at three o’clock.
Side Two: Vinyl = VG (various superfical scuff marks). Label = VG++. Some not-too-bad minimal spindle wear, matrix in dead wax: YEEX 111-1, A at three o’clock.
The LP comes in its original tinted EMITEX inner sleeve, advertising other titles from the EMI catalogue at the time.
The outer sleeve is the Garrod + Lofthouse version. On the bottom flipback the wording is: P.L. Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending CPCS 103. The cover is in EX- condition with a 1" tear near the mouth and some 'under the laminate creases' so typical of UK album sleeves from the 1960s, and a tiny dent in the upper left corner. The rear of the cover is beautiful with minimal signs of use.
Well, there you have it. A totally rare export copy of this legendary album. The set will be shipped as follows: I place the empty outer sleeve in a PVC outer cover. The disc comes in a plain white sleeve and will be placed on top of the outer sleeve. The PVC outer sleeve with its contents will be packed in very sturdy cardboard. This way no damage can occur during transport to either sleeve(s) or disc.
As much as I’d like to ship it, REGISTERED Mail is no longer an option to countries outside Europe, so Priority Air Mail is the best option in this case.
