The Beatles - 'Please Please Me'. PCS 3042
The Beatles 1971 UK pressing of the 'Please Please Me' album. Originally released on the 22nd March 1963, this two EMI box label design with ‘Made in GT Britain’ text at the bottom label had a short pressing run only available around 1971. It is offered here FULLY COMPLETE and in WONDERFUL EXCELLENT- condition.
Pressed on HEAVYWEIGHT 1960’s thick vinyl. Both labels have 'The Gramophone Co Ltd....' rim print and ‘Made in GT Britain’ text along the bottom. This changed after 1971 to a much more common two EMI box label design but this is the first variation of its kind.
The vinyl is housed within the original 1971 EMI advertising inner sleeve and the rare 1971 STEREO STICKERED front laminated outer sleeve with flipbacks. A great example which is surprisingly rare like this.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. YEX 94-1 2 PP
Side 2. YEX 95-1 2 OT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT- condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD++ condition. I shall include an additional inner sleeve for protection.
