Description
1/ Yellow Submarine OZ Australian Vintage press:
Vinyl Grade: +VG, lovely gloss, a few light scratches only, nothing that you would expect to hear.
Sound Quality: side 1 sounds EX excellent, loud and clear with no background surface noise, side two has constant light background surface noise. (side 1 is the Beatles playing and the best music, side 2 is the orchestral film score music)
Cover: +VG, sticker damage top left, light ring impression.
2/ Rubber Soul UK 1973 vintage press:
Vinyl Grade: VG, a high VG, lots of small scratches, nothing bad/deep but from the number some light surface noise would be expected. Note it plays fine with a very small edge/track 1 wobble.
Sound Quality: side 1 sounds EX with no noticeable surface noise, side 2 sounds +VG with some noticeable light background surface noise on the first 2 or 3 tracks and then very minimal on the rest of side 2, no pops/clicks/ticks, fully play tested to check.
Cover: EX, excellent cover, flat, no damage, some edge wear/splits in the middle top and bottom.
Records graded directly under very bright table light for the visual grade. Sound quality checked by playing to ensure that visual grade and sound quality are consistent.
Mint M and Near Mint NM: Looks perfect as new. N and NM is only appropriate for new reissue records and not for vintage vinyl that has been played, regardless of how perfect it may look.
Excellent Plus +EX: Lovely gloss, no visible scratches, scuffs or marks. Has been played but has been handled well and still in great condition. (highest grade that I use for vintage vinyl)
Excellent EX: Lovely gloss, shows some slight signs of wear, including light trace/hairlines from the inner sleeve, light scuffs or very light marks that you would not expect to hear as surface noise.
Very Good Plus +VG: Shows a few more very light marks than is allowable for EX so not quite EX. These signs of use would be expected to cause some light surface noise but not to detract from the music.
Very Good VG: Shows light scratches and marks and some that you would expect to cause surface noise, especially in soft passages, between tracks and during a song?s intro and ending but not so much as to overpower the music which can still be enjoyed.
Very Good Minus -VG: Shows significant wear and marks that you would expect to cause noticeable surface noise that detracts from the music.
Good G: In the record world, 'Good' is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about beat-up records lacking much of the original gloss and with many scratches and marks that you would expect to cause very noticeable surface noise and clicks/pops that seriously detract from enjoyment of the music.
Postage: I package very very well and only charge the actual Aust Post cost. International post currently not available because of the delays with sending parcels overseas.
