Description
Offered for sale is a rare 7" vinyl record by The Beatles. 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da / While My Guitar Gently Weeps' was released as a single in France in 1969 from the White Album, though these tracks were never released as a single in the UK. This is the misprinted version, with the wrong songwriters credited on both sides. It comes complete with its original picture sleeve.
The record is as issued with its wide jukebox centre. The vinyl is in pretty good condition considering its age. There are a few light surface marks and light scratches on both sides, but nothing major and it plays through fine on both sides with no skips or jumps. The labels are generally good, with no handwriting or scribbles anywhere.
As mentioned, both sides credit the wrong songwriters on the label. It should be Side A - Lennon / McCartney; Side B - Harrison. But they are printed Side A: Lennon / McCartney / Harrison; Side B - Lennon / McCartney.
It also comes complete with its original picture sleeve. This is showing some signs of wear - particularly along the side, opening edge. There is also a split along roughly half of the bottom edge (please see the pictures. All in all the sleeve is in fair condition for its age, and it has done its job of protecting the record itself.
Overall, this is a good example of this rare record from The Beatles in a fair sleeve, that still has plenty of life left in it for a collector or fan.
