This record is in very good condition. It has quite a lot of spindle marks visible on the labels and also damage to the labels on side 2. The damage can clearly be seen in the photograph above so be sure to view this. So overall the iconic 'yellow Parlophone' labels are not in ideal condition with the damage to side 2 but do of course have all the correct information accredited to the UK 1st pressing.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep or really serious but do have light lines, signs of use and 'mottling' visible in normal light. These are evident on both sides and the record is clearly used. It has no really nasty marks however but there is light scratches, wear, mottling and signs of age to both sides.
I play tested the record and it played well. It lays flat on the deck and there is next to no movement in the record arm upon playing. The sound produced was closer to a grade of 'EX' with no skips, sticks or clicks and generally very little interference of any sort. There was maybe a little light surface noise in the run ins and between tracks but certainly nothing major during play. As for distortion there was also little of this with maybe just the most minor fraction in places. Overall it plays tidily throughout and easily produces audio that would fit the VG visual grading.
The front laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' sleeve is in very good+ condition. It has some wear to the edges and corners but the writing along the spine is legible. The worst of any wear is found on the corners and on the bottom edge, where there is a few areas of wear. Other than the edge wear the sleeve is free from tears, scuffs or pen marks but does have general signs of age with age related grubbiness to the rear. There is also ring marks showing to both sides and some laminate creasing to the front. There is also some creasing around the rear left(record entry) edge. Overall a solid and decent sleeve but one that is not pristine with some general age related wear/issues. I have tried to capture the sleeves condition as best I can in the pictures provided so please study these to gain as much information as possible.
It includes its original rice paper-lined 'Use Emitex' inner which is in very good+ condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but has some creasing, discolouring and general age related wear. I will send the record in a brand new plain white replacement.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
