Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Hard Day's Night' 1964 first press mono vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the variation B pressing with the smaller font on the record labels. Also, this particular listing comes with the rarer 'Ernest J. Day & Co.' sleeve instead of the usual Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. These sleeves have ever so slightly different flipbacks - usually slightly larger.

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a decent amount of light scratches and hairline marks on the record...none that I can feel however! Still retains a nice gloss and shine and they're mainly sleeve removal trails. Rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Label is VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Side 2 - same as Side 1! Looks well-played but also well looked-after considering it's age.
Audio: I have play-tested the first two tracks on either side as I didn't have time to give it a full play-test. I can confirm that there were no playability issues during these 4 tracks. There is some expected crackle on the run-in but the mono audio is very punchy and loud! Light crackle in places but nothing gets in the way of the music! These 4 tracks rate as a solid VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-!
Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD+ condition! It has NO RIPS, NO TEARS and NO SPLITS! There is some discolouration, staining and the usual light creases however.
Sleeve: The original 1964 EJ DAY flipback sleeve is currently rated as a strong VERY GOOD! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine but it does have some light ringwear and light laminate creasing. The rear of the sleeve has some and slight discolouration with the obvious ink stamp and writing (PICTURED!). The flipbacks are held down tightly with some creasing but nothing serious. The spine is 100% readable and strong with minimal creasing. A nice example! I'd grade it VG+ but the ink stamps and writing downgrade it unfortunately.
