Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Hard Day's Night' 1964 first press mono vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the very first mono pressing of A Hard Day's Night, released in 1964. This is the variation A pressing with the larger 'chubby' font on the record labels.

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - lots of light scratches and hairlines but nothing that I can feel however. Nice gloss and shine. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is very clean but has spindlehole wear, rated as VERY GOOD+.                       Side 2 - same as Side 1!

Audio: I have play-tested the first two tracks on either side as I didn't have time to give it a full play-test. I can confirm that there were no playability issues during these 4 tracks. No skips, no sticks and no jumps on my system on these 4 tracks. Plays better than it looks. There is some expected crackle on the run-in but the mono audio is very punchy and loud! Light crackle in places but nothing gets in the way of the music! Lots of clarity - clearly looked after! These 4 tracks rate as a solid VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-. 

Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in GOOD+/VERY GOOD- condition! It has a tear on all 3 sides - a 4" split on left side, 3.5" split on right side and a 1.5" split along the bottom. Creasing and light discolouration elsewhere.


Sleeve: The original 1964 mono flipback sleeve is currently rated as a strong VERY GOOD! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine but it does have some light ringwear and light laminate creasing. The rear of the sleeve has some light ringwear and slight discolouration with the small stain near the track listing (PICTURED!). The flipbacks are held down tightly with some creasing but nothing serious. The spine is 100% readable and strong with light creasing in places.
