Description

Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Hard Day's Night 12" 1964 RARE STEREO original Parlophone LP vinyl 1st press' in overall EXCELLENT condition. 
This particular pressing features the 'Chubby font'. It was the very first font used with a Stereo Hard Day's Night LP and features a larger, more rounded font. It only lasted a short time and is now used to identify genuine first pressings.



VINYL:-
Visual:

• Side 1 - several hairlines and a couple of marks. Nothing deep or serious. None of them or majorly feelable. Label is Excellent-.
• Side 2 - more hairlines and slight marks than side 1. Nothing to deep or serious. Nothing majorly feelable. Label is Excellent-.

Audio:

• In my eyes, the audio is EXCELLENT! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! slight background crackle is present in quieter passages, in between tracks and towards the ends of each side but it never really gets in the way - not a serious problem at all! Fantastic punchy and crisp stereo mix! A great copy to listen to with no serious problems at all! Retains original tonality and sound. Lies extremely flat and plays extremely well!

The original EMITEX inner sleeve has Beatles For Sale and A Hard Days Night written in pen. Slightly discoloured and creased but 100% original with NO SPLITS! 


The original stereo sleeve is 100% intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as VERY GOOD++/EXCELLENT. A decent original stereo sleeve is hard to find! Laminate creases to the front and spine but no major damage. Rear of sleeve retains most of its whiteness but has a couple of small stains, slight creases and discolouring in places - please see pictures! Slight damage to lower flipback above Garrod & Lofthouse but not major! Strict grading! Spine is in good shape except the 's' in 'Day's' has slightly rubbed off but still readable - please see pictures!
