Purchased Brand New through JEM Imports in the 1970's. This has a laminated cover. There are three spots were there is de-lamination showing, two small spots on top front left by spine, a small spot on the lower back right corner and a larger spot on back bottom left.edge by corner (see pictures). There are some "pinch creases" front right top edge and two on front bottom edge vertically, and two "squiggly pinch creases" (in front of John's chest and above his head) (see pictures). On the back cover, there is one "pinch crease" on top right and two smaller on bottom right, both being horizontal along the spine (see pictures). Front bottom right corner has a small "crush" to it (see picture) and front top right album access edge has two "dents", one small and one bigger (see pictures). Nice spine with lettering not being centered.
Inner paper sleeve is plain white with one side printed on the bottom left has "PATENT NO. 1,125,555" and on the bottom right printed "MADE IN ENGLAND". Has some slight wrinkling and light creasing. Top access edge has a couple of small "rougher" spots but no rips, tears or splits(see pictures).
Vinyl has been played. I always used a Shure M91ED Cartridge and Stylus tracking at 1 gram. There are some "surface scratching" visible in critical light. On Side One label, underneath the PCS 7088, there is a factory defect that starts just below the YEX 749 number and on the "circled P" 1969, the Circle P is somewhat faded (see picture).

Pressed in 1973/1974 by Pathé Marconi in France due to the closure of EMI's Hayes plant for refurbishment.
This pressing uses French stampers and is similar to The Beatles - Abbey Road, which uses UK stampers.

Dark green label with a full apple on A side and sliced apple on B side. Top of front and back label "Made in France by Pathé Marconi". “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines above “33 1/3″, text below moved to the left side. STEREO - Ce disque peut être utilisé avec un lecteur MONO on both labels at the bottom. The label does not have Her Majesty credit on the side 2. The labels are quite dark.

Albums have full laminated cover without flaps on the back side. Front cover, with drain showing on crossing, Rear cover, Apple logo aligned with the text and 'Her Majesty' not listed.

The B-side label does not have "Her Majesty" credits. "Her Majesty" not listed on back cover but on B label after "the End".
