The album was of course, named after the London road in St. John's Wood that houses the E.M.I. studios (although, at one time it was going to be titled, "Everest").
The cover photograph was taken on Friday 8th August 1969 by Iain Macmillan at 10 o'clock in the morning.
For these quick snaps the police held up the traffic for 10 minutes as six pictures were taken (in two of which Paul wore his sandals).
Along with Sgt. Peppers, once again The Beatles managed to create something so iconic that it has been imitated many times.

Side 1: Come Together / Something / Maxwell's Silver Hammer / Oh Darling / Octopus Garden / I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Side 2: Here Comes The Sun / Because / You Never Give Me Your Money / Sun King / Mean Mr Mustard / Polythene Pam / She Came In Through The Bathroom Window / Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End / Her Majesty

LABELS: NEAR MINT
Clean, fresh and unmarked with just one or two light spindle traces on Side Two, none on Side One
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
Both surfaces shine like-new with just light and harmless brush marks from the inner
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT+
One of the finest sounding albums in The Beatles catalogue this practically untouched copy plays beautifully with little to fault the deep, rich and warm sound - slight touch of low-level background noted in one or two places - nothing really and I did not clean this copy as it seemed unnecessary so this will no doubt disappear after a clean/few spins
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT+
The fully laminated cover has a deep, glass-like glossy sheen to both the front and back surfaces with just some record impression. All edges are crisp, sharp and unworn and all text on the spine is clear and bold
