Description
Original 1st UK mono pressing of the Beatles “Help!” LP from 1965
Rare version with MT tax code on side 1 label.
Matrix /Mothers / Stampers
Side 1: XEX 449-2 / 4 / HL
Side 2: XEX 550-2 / 1 / RR
The vinyl grades as VG overall. It has some light non feelable paper scuffs but the main issue is 3 light scratches on the title track (Help! Side 1 track 1). It looks like a heavy handled needle drop. These marks cause a repetitive click and some crackle throughout the 1st half of the song. The rest of the album plays a strong EX with no other obvious crackles or deterioration in sound and lovely audio for the most of the remaining album. A couple of soft clicks in between tracks “It’s only Love” and “You Like Me Too Much” VG overall grade but other than the issues with help! this would grade much higher at EX to EX+ play grade.
The sleeve grades as VG to VG+ due to 2 corner creases. (See photos). Names lightly written of band members next to photos on the rear. No other issues.
Original EMITEX inner is VG+
