This is the UK 1st press of 'A Hard Days Night' by The Beatles. This press has the earliest bold wide type and the original 'The Parlophone Co Ltd,' 'Recording first published 1964' and 'Sold in UK' label text. It has the polylined Emitex inner sleeve and the earliest original 'patents pending' Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a sensational gloss, the vinyl is jet black and the grooves show no sign of wear, the vinyl still feels like new. There are just a couple of very light wispy marks on one side. On playing the sound is Excellent, warm, rich and vibrant.
The black and yellow Parlophone label is also in Excellent condition. The label is completely clean, the black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is just the very slightest spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex inner sleeve.
The flipback sleeve is in Excellent condition. The earliest heavy card is solid and the colours are extremely bright. The image is still very sharp. There is a little wear on the top corner and the spine. The back of the sleeve has sharp black text and the white is superb, crisp and bright. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The whole cover is still extremely solid and the spine is firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
