Description

This is an auction for a rare single by The Beatles, Love Me Do. Side 2, P.S. I Love You.

This was released by Parlophone records in 1963 and has catalogue number R 4949. This is the 2nd press with a black label, the "Parlophone Co Ltd" in lower case and "Recording First Published 1962" label text. The matrix is suffixed with 1N, indicating Ringo on drums and no tambourine version. Please check the pictures on supersize for clarification.

Condition: Both labels are clean, under a strong light some spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole has 3 tiny picking spots at 1 o'clock on label one. The vinyl is of course superb, hence why I am selling this individually. Play tested and playing just about perfectly, no crackle or hiss heard whatsoever. Nice clean starts to both sides, strong audio and certainly playing with very little lessening in sound quality. The vinyl retains its brand new shine and looks clean, under a stong light a couple of feather scratches and finger marks can be seen. As stated above these are completely non-audible. This also comes with its original sleeve which has a touch of edge discolouring and a little creasing.

Graded at a very strict VG+, have to down-grade this because its been played more than a few times. The audio and appearance of the vinyl is certainly near mint.
