About this pressing

Having dealt in vinyl records for a good few years I thought I'd seen pretty much everything. However I was baffled when I this boxset in as part of a Beatles collection. It has the original matrix numbers, it has the Apple logo on the record labels, but a Parlophone logo on the reverse of the sleeve. After a bit of digging and cross checking on some reference sites to make sure, I ascertained it is a very rare and extremly scare contract pressing. As quoted on one site it the 'Scarce 1970 UK 2nd Export issue' it came with the prexif P and became P-PCS 7096. Condition

Rarely, if ever have we seen a 1970 issue of this box set in such stunning condition. The out sleeve is crisp, shiny and the sides strong with no creasing or bending. The Get Back book looks to be unread and is crisp in NR MINT condition. The inner tray, which normally falls apart is completely in tact and in fact one of the perforated edges has not even been folded down. The lower tray again is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or creases. The record sleeve itself is in excellent + condition with no faults to mention and had that glorious shine and the record, whislt showing some signs of play has been graded as excellent. The Apple labels on both sides are superb with no markings of any kind. This is truly a very special piece we have the pleasure to sell. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Just to be on the safe side this item will be posted in a hard plastic storage contrainer to ensure no creasing on route.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

VINYL EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

SLEEVE EXCELLENT : The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VINYL VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

SLEEVE VERY GOOD : Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, some laminate veining or minor discolouration without any major defects, is acceptable.

VINYL GOOD : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

SLEEVE GOOD : The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine or edge splits, discolouration, laminate veining etc.
